Dressmaking: The Easy Way.... with Geraldine Sykes
Four Days starting Friday 26th July 2024
Want to make clothes that fit and flatter your shape and size. With Geraldine Sykes and the book, Dressmaking: The Easy Guide, at your side you will be able to do so.
Come along a course of four days and Geraldine will show you how to take your measurements correctly and trace off the pattern for your size. Then you will cut and make a toile in calico. With Geraldine's help the toile will be fitted to you ready for you to select fabric of your choice and make a garment that fits and flatters you.
This four day course will allow you to start designing your own clothes or if using commercial patterns, allow you to adapt them to fit you using the block created in calico. You will then be ready to create many more garments to flatter your figure!

The book, Dressmaking: The Easy Guide, will needed for this course and if purchased from Tudor Rose Patchwork alongside this course, a 20% discount on the book will be offered.

In addition to spending your time crafting, Tudor Rose Patchwork offers a special lunchtime menu at O For Coffee for students. You can choose from a selection of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, toasties and soups.

Should Tudor Rose Patchwork have to cancel a workshop you will receive a full refund.

This is a four block session and if you cannot attend any days, then the pattern will be provided.

Should you wish to cancel your attendance on the course more than 30 days before the first workshop date you will receive a refund less our £5 administration fee. Tudor Rose Patchwork may be able to transfer your booking to another date.

Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop less than 30 days before the workshop date, your payment will only be refunded if we are able to fill your place, less our £5 administration fee.

Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on or used for teaching purposes without the permission of the tutor.
