Wet Felted Shawl with Eve Marshall

Join us for a fun day with artisan felter, Eve Marshall. She loves to teach felting. She wants her students to feel the instant gratification of felting so that they are able to learn many techniques in a workshop and go home with a finished piece.
Wet felted art scarves are a lovely mix of wool, silk and textures with a lacy feel. They are made by laying down lots of different colours of merino wool and extras. To felt them you add hot soapy water and agitate the fibres together with your hands and other felting tools.
At this workshop you will make a large wet felted art shawl/scarf filled with colour, texture and holes. Eve will teach you about the wool and textures. You'll plan the size and choose the shape of your scarf,. Silk ribbons, dyed curls, threads and merino are then added to form the back of the shawl.
Wet felting is physical and you will need to stand to work on your shawl for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Eve provides all the materials and tools you will need.
The day runs from 10.00 - 4.00. There is a break for lunch at 12.30-1.30.
In addition to spending your time crafting there is a coffee shop on site - O For Coffee. Tudor Rose Patchwork offers students 10% discount on anything consumed from O For Coffee. As well as a large selection of hot and cold drinks, the menu includes jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, toasties, soups. For those with a sweet tooth there is also a variety of cakes baked on site including gluten free and vegan options.

Cancellation Policy:

Should Tudor Rose Patchwork have to cancel a workshop you will receive a full refund.

Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop more than 30 days before the workshop date you will receive a refund less our £5 administration fee. Tudor Rose Patchwork may be able to transfer your booking to another date.

Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop less than 30 days before the workshop date, your payment will only be refunded if we are able to fill your place, less our £5 administration fee.

Refunds will be made to card or paypal account that the original payment was made from or can be taken in the form of goods or other workshops or group dates to value of the refund being made.

If a pattern is available for the workshop and no refund is able then Tudor Rose Patchwork will arrange for you to receive the pattern.

Patterns are not available for workshops that you have not attended or paid for.

Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on or used for teaching purposes without the permission of the tutor.
