Creative Sewing with Your Sewing Machine with Kathleen Laurel Sage

In this exciting monthly class, you will be shown and encouraged to use your sewing machine to push the boundaries and make full use of everything that your machine has to offer. You will learn how to make full use of any programmed stitches and to confidently free motion stitch and draw with your needle.
A sewing machine is always necessary for this course. The sewing machine should be capable of either dropping the feed dogs or use a plate to cover the feed dogs as this is necessary for many of the Creative Sewing days. There are a limited number of suitable machines for hire from Tudor Rose Patchwork and must be booked in advance of the day.

Join us at our workshop in Oakley, Bedford to discover how to needle lace Christmas ornaments with your sewing machine.
Get creative with your sewing machine and let Kathleen show you how it can be used to make beautiful stunning winter white ornaments, perfect for gifting to loved ones as a Christmas card with love and blessings for the festive season. They can then keep your personal decoration to hang on their tree the following year.
You will learn how to use a water soluble fabric whilst mastering the free motion stitching required to make several elegant lace designs on the day.
If white is not your colour why not try them in red, green or colour of your choice.
Embrace the festive spirit and create something special using your sewing machine.
You will need a sewing machine with drop feed dogs, basic sewing supplies, your choice of threads and water soluble fleece. Detailed requirements will be emailed to you in advance of the class.
