Bring a little sunshine to your window with a beautiful handmade stained glass honeycomb lightcatcher, created in gorgeous shades of golden honey and warm amber!

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover the traditional Tiffany copper foil technique and learn how to transform individual pieces of coloured glass into a stunning decorative creation. With guidance from your tutors, you’ll choose your favourite glass from our carefully selected collection before learning how to cut and grind the pieces to shape.

You’ll then learn how to wrap the edges in copper foil and solder the pieces together, adding a cute little bee charm to complete your design. The result will be a unique honeycomb lightcatcher, ready to hang in your window and enjoy as it catches the light.

Perfect for beginners! No previous stained glass experience is necessary, and all materials and tools are provided. Your tutors will guide you through each stage, helping you develop new skills while enjoying the satisfaction of creating something beautiful by hand.

Please note that the glass available on the day may vary from the example photographs, making every finished piece a little different.

Important safety information

As this workshop involves cutting glass and working with heat, all safety instructions must be followed throughout the session. Due to the lead content of the materials used, this workshop is not suitable for pregnant or nursing mothers or for children.

The class is not suitable for pregnant women due to the lead content of solder!

In addition to spending your time crafting there is a coffee shop on site - O For Coffee.  Tudor Rose Patchwork offers students 10% discount on anything consumed from O For Coffee.   As well as a large selection of hot and cold drinks, the menu includes jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, toasties, soups.  For those with a sweet tooth there is also a variety of cakes baked on site including gluten free and vegan options.

Cancellation Policy:

• Should Tudor Rose Patchwork have to cancel a workshop you will receive a full refund.
• Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop more than 30 days before the workshop date you will receive a refund less our £5 administration fee.  Tudor Rose Patchwork may be able to transfer your booking to another date.
• Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop less than 30 days before the workshop date, your payment will only be refunded if we are able to fill your place, less our £5 administration fee. 
• Refunds will be made to card or paypal account that the original payment was made from or can be taken in the form of goods or other workshops or group dates to value of the refund being made.
• If a pattern is available for the workshop and no refund is able then Tudor Rose Patchwork will arrange for you to receive the pattern.
• Patterns are not available for workshops that you have not attended or paid for.
• Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on or used for teaching purposes without  the permission of the tutor.
