The Beaders is a group for beaders from beginners to advanced and everything in between!
Each month there will be a project that Sue will be teaching or revisiting a stitch which will be a project, “so no boring samples” but a lovely piece of jewellery. Sue provides written instructions and tuition to enable you to finish the piece at home.
February - April 2025
This project is introducing bead embroidery. You will receive patterns for both designs and the requirements you buy will allow you to make both the elephant and the dolphin.
Session One you will work on backing material, adding the beads in sections, giving the piece shading and a more textured look. A Rondelle and bicones will be used for the eye to add a little extra sparkle.
At the second session you will decide if you want to make the piece into a brooch, pendant, bracelet or wall hanging.
You can do these projects over one or two sessions a month.
The project is not compulsory, so if you are an intermediate or advanced beader you can bring your own work. Sue is sure that you have lots of UFO’s to finish in a very social atmosphere and make new beady friends - Beaders are a very special bunch of people.
The day runs from 10am - 4pm with an hour for lunch at 12.30

In addition to spending your time crafting there is a coffee shop on site - O For Coffee. Tudor Rose Patchwork offers students 10% discount on anything consumed from O For Coffee. As well as a large selection of hot and cold drinks, the menu includes jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, toasties, soups. For those with a sweet tooth there is also a variety of cakes baked on site including gluten free and vegan options.
