Gunold Stiffy 2040 Polymesh - Non Woven Cutaway Embroidery Stabiliser

A cut away stabilizer suitable for light to heavy weight fabrics that can be left in if desired. 

Able to handle high stitch density with no perforation and great stability.

Can even handle knitwear and stitch patterns where the pattern is more stylised and made up of separate parts!

Suitable for embroideries on delicate, soft drape fabrics that require a stabilising backing that doesn't leave a stiff embroidery once your stitching is complete. Gunold Stiffy 2040 polymesh is an extremely soft stabilizer with a silky feel made of polyester that easily adapts to delicate fabrics like silk, viscose and jersey while being particularly soft to skin.

Recommended usage:

  • Place the top fabric with the polymesh underneath in an embroidery hoop.

  • Embroider the design.

  • Remove the hoop and if desired carefully cut away with polymesh along the finished embroidery edge using small scissors.
