Sew Easy Sashiko 100% Cotton Fabric

Dark navy blue fabric 142cm/56" x 1m for Sashiko, the perfect size to make a 40x40cm cushion. 

The Japanese word Sashiko means "little stabs" or "little pierce".  Humble beginnings led to creating home necessities by devising a simple stitch to quilt several layers of loosely woven fabric for strength and warmth.

Modern Sashiko products have now rejuvenated interest by using traditional Japanese designs worked onto indigo dyed fabric with a white contrast running stitch.  A luxury finish to quilting, home furnishings and craft projects.

Instructions are included on how to finish the cushion when you've stitched your designs.  For use with white Japanese Embroidery thread and Sew Easy Sashiko templates.

We recommend hand or gentle wash.
