Felted Bumble Bee with Felt & Dandy - Saturday 7th September 2019
Join Felt and Dandy and learn all the basic needle felting techniques whilst making this adorable family of Bumble Bees mounted in a frame just like collectors' specimens.
You will learn how to make needle felted bodies, fashion legs and antennae, attach wings and eyes, but also take your bees home mounted and labelled in a frame just like an entomologist's display. You will cover basic needle felting and some other crafting skills which will be demonstrated step by step throughout the workshop.
By the end of the workshop, you will have learnt how to:
Use needles and needle felting tools,
Mark out and make 3D shapes in felt,
Fashion and contour legs,
Add contour details
Attach eyes and wings
Mount and label bees in a frame
10am - 4pm
All materials will be provided. You go home with a finished creation plus some off cuts and trimmings from the day.
