Patchwork: Beginners & All with Chris and Kate.
This class is open to anyone who loves to patchwork and quilt. If you're a beginner, come and learn the mysteries of patchwork, it's not really a big secret.
If you've already dipped your toe into the world of patchworking, coming along for a session with like minded individuals and pick up a few more tips from the tutors. Bring along a project you've already started or perhaps launch yourself into something new.
As a beginner, Chris & Kate will get you started with a patchwork block (there are several to choose from) so that the intricacies of rotary cutting can be demonstrated and your friendship with your sewing machine will be enhanced.
You will be with an existing group who will be working on their own quilts & projects so you can really get a true appreciation of what can be done in the patchwork world, plus get some tips for your next project and have a good laugh with the group. All are welcome and if you want to do it by hand or need a sewing machine just let us know...
You can choose any one of the five blocks available (see our pictures) to do on the day. Depending on your work style you may be able to start another block in the afternoon if that is what you desire or you can continue making the same block again - the choice is yours.
10am to 4pm.
